Senior Finance Officer

About the role

FCM Bank Ltd is seeking a Senior Finance Officer to join its growing finance function. The role will ensure the integrity of financial reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and drive process automation across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and review balance‑sheet reconciliations, including key control accounts.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
• Lead monthly and annual financial reporting processes.
• Coordinate month‑end closing activities within the Finance team.
• Conduct variance analysis against budgets and prior periods.
• Prepare financial projections, forecasts and the annual budget.
• Support financial planning and provide analysis for business decisions.
• Maintain strong internal control frameworks and ensure compliance with policies and reporting standards.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and supply required documentation.
• Assist in regulatory reporting where applicable.
• Collaborate with Data, IT, Risk, Compliance and other departments to improve finance operations.
• Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual work and improve data reliability.
• Support development and optimisation of the finance data warehouse and ERP/reporting tools.
• Continuously review finance workflows to enhance efficiency and strengthen controls.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) preferred.
• Several years of experience in finance or accounting within a banking or financial services environment.
• Proven ability to manage month‑end close, reporting and budgeting processes.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of data‑warehousing concepts for finance data.
• Ability to design and implement automation solutions.
