Sales Assistant (Retail)

About the role

Hudson, an international retailer and distributor active in sport and fashion wear, is hiring a Sales Assistant in Malta. The post reports to the Store Manager and covers the assigned store territory. It is listed as an indefinite contract.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with clients across all sales areas with a personalised approach and meet set sales targets
• Offer product advice based on specialist knowledge and suggest items suited to each customer's needs
• Package goods professionally and process payments of various kinds
• Handle customer complaints effectively
• Stock, replenish and clean sales areas, and monitor and update displays
• Count and balance the cash register and receipts, and stamp or attach price tags to check accuracy against the price list
• Check inventory regularly, report discrepancies to the line manager and inform staff of stock requirements
• Keep the shop clean and tidy with attractive displays

Required profile

• Fluent English communication
• Good organisational skills
• Patient and well-controlled when dealing with clients, and customer focused
• Flexible approach and ability to work shifts
