Department Manager - H&M Regina / Sliema

About the role

Hudson Group, an international retailer and distributor active in sport and fashion wear, is recruiting a Department Manager for its H&M store in Malta (Regina / Sliema). Reporting to the Store Manager, the role leads the department, builds an inclusive culture and drives performance and profitability through sales analysis and strategic planning. It is a full-time position on an indefinite contract.

Key responsibilities

• Own the total customer experience, keeping visual and commercial standards aligned with global guidelines and representing the H&M brand positively
• Set and follow up sales and budget goals, manage costs and oversee fitting rooms, checkouts and admin routines
• Keep up with fashion trends, brands, competitors and influencers, and share product and trend knowledge with the team
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance evaluations, succession planning and staff scheduling
• Use customer data and insights to drive results, and work with the VM team on the department's vision
• Maintain a clean, organised store and stockroom, oversee the garment cycle from delivery to display, and keep prices accurate
• Handle the daily opening and closing of the store and ensure BOH areas are tidy, safe and up to date

Required profile

• Proven leadership in retail or a similar fast-paced environment
• Strong background in retail operations and team development
• Experience in sales planning, analysis and follow-up
• Comfortable using customer data and insights to drive results
