Store Manager - Urban Bratz (Baystreet)

About the role

Hudson Group, an international retailer and distributor active in sport and fashion wear, is hiring a Store Manager for its Urban Bratz store at Baystreet in Malta. The position is full-time, based in the store and reports to the Retail Operations Manager. The store manager oversees all operations needed for the store to run smoothly, ensures swift and polite customer service and upholds the brand's reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out actions raised on productivity reports from retail operations and country banner, and handle customer complaints and queries effectively
• Adhere to brand guidelines and collection planning, and report customer buying trends and missed opportunities to the brand
• Manage the store budget covering sales, payroll and operational costs
• Recruit and select staff according to brand guidelines and allocated headcount, create rosters, manage timesheets and own staff appraisals
• Train staff daily on customer service and store operations, and ensure all assigned training is completed
• Keep the outlet well maintained, ensure visual merchandising guidelines are followed and that items are defect-free, correctly displayed and priced
• Ensure security measures are in place and functioning, and provide sales assistants with the equipment and products they need
• Own the store P&L, including top-line sales, labour costs, conversion rates, stock loss and mystery shopper ratings

Required profile

• At least 2 years' experience in a retail store, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role
• Leadership, organisational and business acumen, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Sales-driven, with a good understanding of KPIs and the ability to make commercial decisions
• Flexibility to work in shifts

Required skills

• Familiarity with financial and customer service principles
• Proficiency in MS Office
