Customer Success Officer

About the role

Global Payments Ltd., one of the largest names in payments, is looking for a Customer Success Officer to join its sales team and help shape the future of global commerce. The role acts as a point of contact for customers, building and maintaining strong merchant relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for customers, building and maintaining long-lasting merchant relationships and handling queries and complaints professionally.
• Monitor merchant performance and turnover, proactively offering products and solutions to improve retention and support account growth.
• Provide rate offers in line with internal pricing policies and carry out credit and operational risk analysis linked to business opportunities.
• Act as a link between merchants and the business, sharing feedback to improve products, services and the customer experience.
• Ensure accurate handling of leads, regular reporting, compliance with internal policies and regulations (including KYC/AML), and delivery against performance targets.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar position.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills internally and externally.
• High-level verbal and written communication and presentation skills in Maltese and English.
• Client-oriented, able to interact with customers at a professional level and understand their needs and the financial implications of decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• A bonus: high-level business acumen and commercial awareness, plus in-depth knowledge of the card payment industry (players, services, technology, economics, regulation, trends).
