Internal Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Internal Auditor to join our growing Internal Audit team in Msida. You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries, leveraging cutting‑edge AI‑enabled audit technology to plan, execute and report audits.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audit engagements in line with approved audit plans and scopes.
• Develop risk‑based audit programmes and perform testing of internal controls.
• Assess governance, risk management and internal control processes and identify deficiencies.
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.
• Conduct follow‑up reviews to evaluate implementation of agreed actions.
• Leverage AI‑enabled audit tools and digital technologies to improve audit efficiency and insight.
• Assist in preparing annual risk‑based audit plans and reports for audit committees and boards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in internal audit or a comparable assurance role.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, ACCA are an asset.
• Strong understanding of risk‑based auditing, internal control frameworks and corporate governance.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• High ethical standards, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities independently or within a team.
