Senior Audit Manager

About the role

EY’s Malta Assurance Department delivers high‑quality audit and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio. As a Senior Audit Manager you will lead assurance engagements, apply state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic tools, and help clients manage enterprise‑wide business risk.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute audit strategies in consultation with partners, ensuring compliance with EY policies.
• Personally perform complex audit procedures and lead engagement teams as required.
• Monitor team progress against plans and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
• Identify and cultivate new business development opportunities to generate audit work.
• Coach and develop team members, delivering performance reviews and on‑the‑job training.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with other assurance teams and build long‑term client networks.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent international qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of experience at audit manager level.
• Proven experience leading, planning, executing and reporting audit engagements.
• Strong project‑management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and collaborative skills.
• Thorough knowledge of IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Solid understanding of risk management and quality procedures.
