Audit Manager

About the role

EY’s Assurance Department in Malta is looking for an Audit Manager to lead high‑quality audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will be the primary point of contact, delivering audit activities, advising clients and shaping audit methodology across industries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end audit process, addressing audit risk issues and accounting technical matters.
• Lead and coordinate fieldwork on client sites, liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth delivery.
• Review and sign‑off work prepared by audit staff, ensuring compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Identify improvement areas in client business processes and prepare Management Letters with recommendations.
• Coach junior team members, organise responsibilities and contribute to performance reviews.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification (ACA/CA/ACCA).
• Minimum two years of experience at audit manager level, with proven project‑management and leadership skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP and ISA audit methodology.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and risk‑management abilities.
