Assistant Store Manager - Kiabi (Sliema)

About the role

Kiabi, part of the Hudson Group, is looking for an Assistant Store Manager for its Sliema store in Malta. The role supports the store manager in day-to-day operations and covers the assigned territory. It is a full-time position on an indefinite contract, reporting to the Store Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train and motivate staff to perform at their best
• Help plan and implement strategies to attract customers
• Coordinate daily customer service operations such as sales, orders and payments
• Track weekly, monthly and annual objectives
• Maintain store inventory and evaluate employee performance, including hiring and training needs
• Coach new and existing sales associates and suggest sales ideas to increase revenue
• Evaluate consumer behaviour and adjust product positioning
• Produce reports and analyse retail data
• Ensure staff follow company policies and set a high standard of work and service

Required profile

• At least 2 years' experience in a retail store, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role
• Familiarity with financial and customer service principles
• Leadership, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, with a problem-solving attitude
• Flexibility to work in shifts

Required skills

• Able to create and analyse reports, spreadsheets and sales statistics
• Proficiency in MS Office
