Tax Advisory Manager - Direct Tax

About the role

EY is looking for an experienced Tax Advisory Manager to join its Direct Tax Advisory team in Malta. The team advises multinational and domestic entities on domestic direct taxation matters and international tax developments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor domestic and international tax developments and help issue newsletters in a timely manner
• Advise clients on Maltese tax implications and international tax developments
• Provide specific tax advice to clients as needed
• Assist sellers and buyers with tax due diligence and transaction support services
• Liaise with the Malta Tax and Customs Administration on questions of interpretation of Maltese tax law
• Assist in the tax advice function as required

Required profile

• A professional tax, accounting or legal qualification
• At least 6 years of relevant tax experience, ideally within an audit and accountancy firm
• Professional fluency in English, written and spoken
• Willingness to learn and openness to new challenges
• Good organisational skills and strong interpersonal skills, working well in a team
