Solution Architect - Technology Consulting

About the role

EY is looking for a Solution Architect for its Technology Consulting practice in Malta. You will work in multi-disciplinary teams delivering IT strategy and architecture, IT implementation support and solution design and development. The role brings strategy to life through architectural solution artifacts and works closely with implementation teams, while contributing technical insight to client engagements and internal projects and supervising more junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver one or more processes, solutions and/or projects with a focus on quality and effective risk management.
• Promote continuous process improvement and identify innovative solutions through research, analysis and best practices.
• Supervise others on complex technical initiatives, with accountability for performance and results.
• Guide colleagues and interpret internal and external issues to recommend quality solutions.
• Meet local performance objectives covering client service, quality, risk management, sales and business growth, solution development and teaming.
• Collaborate with developers, operations and business stakeholders to deliver projects successfully.
• Mentor junior team members and stay up to date with industry trends and relevant certifications.
• Work with technology partners across EY's alliance network to learn about the latest products and technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years' experience in solution architecture, systems architecture, technology consulting or similar roles.
• Proven track record designing secure, scalable and reliable solution architectures.
• Excellent English; a good level of another foreign language is an asset.
• Onsite work at the EY office in Msida is required.

Required skills

• Cloud computing architecture (Microsoft Azure preferred, AWS or Google Cloud Platform).
• Cybersecurity and privacy architecture, disaster recovery and high availability.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric or equivalent PaaS is an asset.
• TOGAF methodology and relevant certifications are an asset.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
