QA Engineer

About the role

Bullfinch is looking for an experienced QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of its products. You will design and run test strategies, find defects and work closely with developers throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Work with developers and stakeholders to define functional requirements and identify testing needs.
• Run functional, integration, exploratory and regression tests on existing and new features across multiple applications.
• Find, document and track defects through the project management system.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases and test scenarios.
• Test REST APIs using tools such as Postman.
• Write and maintain automated test scripts where appropriate.
• Help improve QA processes and testing practices.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of commercial experience in a QA or software testing role.
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies and the SDLC.
• Experience with functional, integration, exploratory and regression testing.
• Ability to work in an Agile team with strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Hands-on testing of REST APIs with Postman.
• Good knowledge of SQL (SELECT and JOIN) and NoSQL databases.
• Strong grasp of HTTP requests and responses (methods, headers, status codes).
• Experience creating and maintaining test documentation.
• Desirable: automated testing, gaming applications, web and mobile testing, and test design techniques.
