Officer Staff Steward – Hospitality & Housekeeping

About the role

As an Officer Staff Steward you will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, order and hospitality within the officers’ and staff quarters on board. Reporting to the Chief Crew Steward, you will be responsible for cleaning, organizing and maintaining cabins and common areas so that crew members enjoy a comfortable and well‑kept living environment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and tidy all officer and staff cabins, bathrooms and shared spaces according to company hygiene standards.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, request replenishments and ensure proper storage.
• Respond promptly to service requests and report any maintenance issues.
• Organize and store linen, toiletries and other household items efficiently.
• Collaborate with the housekeeping team to uphold consistent service quality across the ship.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a housekeeping or similar hospitality role, preferably on a cruise ship or high‑standard hotel.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards and inventory management.
• Ability to work independently, with high attention to detail and physical stamina for shipboard conditions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to serve a multicultural crew.
