Junior Client Accountant

About the role

A leading professional services firm, recruited through AIMS International Malta, is looking for a Junior Client Accountant to join its growing team. The position is full-time, hybrid and based in the Central Region, with a salary of €20,000 to €27,000.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out accounting assignments and other related tasks as required
• Provide off-site and on-site support to clients
• Help prepare inter-company debt notes and settle current accounts
• Maintain ledgers and monthly reconciliations
• Assist with VAT returns, monthly and year-end accounts, and audit working papers
• Contribute to financial statements and balance sheet checklists, and assist with tax computations
• Support the preparation of client invoices

Required profile

• Minimum A Level in Accounts, ideally at the start of the ACCA qualification
• Ideally 1 year of experience in an accounting environment
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team, with an eye for numbers
• Strong communicator, self-motivated and able to meet strict deadlines
• Complete fluency in English
