Demi Chef de Partie – Kitchen Team Member

About the role

A motivated Demi Chef de Partie is needed to support the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes within a designated kitchen section. Working under the Chef de Partie, you will develop your culinary techniques while ensuring consistent quality, efficient service and strict hygiene standards in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and plate menu items according to recipes and portion guidelines.
• Assist with ingredient preparation, mise‑en‑place and stock replenishment.
• Support the Chef de Partie in daily section operations and coordinate with other kitchen stations during service.
• Monitor stock levels, report shortages and follow proper storage, labeling and waste procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness, food‑safety standards and proper care of kitchen equipment.
• Participate in on‑the‑job training and continuous culinary development.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or in a comparable professional kitchen role.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene and professional kitchen practices.
• Strong organisational abilities, attention to detail and effective time management.
• Reliability, willingness to learn and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Residency in Malta.
