Hotel Operations Manager – New Opening

About the role

We are seeking a Hotel Operations Manager to lead the launch of our new 88‑room Ruby Flora hotel in Valletta. The role blends hands‑on operational management with team development, ensuring the property delivers the Ruby Spirit of Lean Luxury.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach the hotel team, fostering professional and personal development.
• Design and manage duty rosters, holiday schedules and daily work processes.
• Oversee daily hotel operations, conduct briefings and model exceptional service.
• Ensure compliance with internal style and quality standards, HACCP, occupational safety, fire protection and other regulations.
• Support the Hotel Manager in recruiting, onboarding and building a strong team.
• Handle monthly financial closings, inventories, invoice control, payroll preparation and ordering of F&B and operating supplies.
• Collect, analyse and respond to guest feedback, resolving complaints with creative solutions.
• Maintain public areas, including the rooftop bar with pool, to ensure guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• Completed professional training in the hotel industry or a degree in hospitality or business administration.
• Proven experience in an operational leadership role within lifestyle hospitality or a comparable setting.
• Ability to think creatively, question existing processes and implement improvements.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
