D365 Business Central Technical Lead

About the role

We are expanding our Advisory practice within Digital Consulting and need a seasoned D365 Business Central Technical Lead to drive complex client engagements. The role will set technical direction, ensure high-quality solution delivery, and mentor multidisciplinary teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own the technical architecture of D365 Business Central solutions, translating business requirements into scalable, supportable, and secure designs.
• Lead end-to-end delivery, including solution design, AL development, extensions, integrations, data migration, testing, deployment and post-implementation support.
• Develop integrations using Business Central APIs, web services, Azure services and Microsoft Power Platform, while managing authentication, security and monitoring.
• Define and enforce technical standards for coding, source control, documentation, build/release management and automated testing.
• Review designs and code, resolve complex issues, and ensure deliverables meet performance, security and maintainability criteria.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, project managers and client stakeholders to plan work, estimate effort, manage dependencies and align priorities.
• Identify technical risks early, communicate impact and guide the team toward practical resolutions.
• Coach developers through feedback, knowledge sharing and hands‑on guidance, fostering an inclusive and growth‑focused environment.
• Contribute to proposals, estimates, solution demonstrations and the continuous improvement of our Business Central methodology and assets.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum five years of experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex implementation projects.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to mentoring and developing junior talent.
