D365 Business Central Functional Lead

About the role

We are expanding our Advisory practice within Digital Consulting and need an experienced D365 Business Central Functional Lead. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, shape functional solutions and ensure successful end‑to‑end delivery for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Act as functional lead across one or more Business Central modules (Finance, Sales, Procurement, Inventory, HR), translating business priorities into scalable solutions.
• Lead full implementation projects, overseeing discovery, design, configuration, testing, training, cut‑over, reporting and post‑implementation support.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, manage expectations, and align scope, risks and deliverables.
• Own the quality of functional deliverables, proactively managing dependencies, risks and issues.
• Coach and review the work of functional consultants, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Support business development by contributing to proposals, estimates, solution demonstrations and methodology development.

Required profile

• Degree, equivalent qualification or substantial relevant experience.
• Advanced hands‑on knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central; Microsoft certification is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience leading Business Central or comparable ERP workstreams, preferably in professional services or consulting.
• Strong understanding of ERP implementation methodologies, planning, effort estimation and risk management.
• Ability to make independent decisions, provide clear direction and collaborate in complex environments.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills.
