Engineering Tech Lead - Brand Experience

About the role

As a Tech Lead at Betsson Group you will drive technical excellence across our brand‑experience products, acting as the bridge between domain architects and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and champion technical improvements for the roadmap.
• Work closely with architects to communicate and implement architectural standards.
• Lead technical design decisions while ensuring alignment with domain architects.
• Take a hands‑on role in important technical initiatives and issue resolution.
• Support new product development by producing proofs of concept and documented designs.
• Research new technologies and assess their potential application.
• Review major changes to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the domain, collaborating with product, architecture and engineering colleagues.
• Participate in team ceremonies such as planning and refinement.
• Lead technical trainings to share knowledge and improve team expertise.

Required profile

• Strong background in software engineering for web applications.
• Highly knowledgeable in TypeScript, JavaScript and modern web markup (CSS3/HTML5).
• Deep understanding of observable technologies such as RxJS or Signals.
• Experience with modern agile practices, Git‑based projects and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of web component frameworks, e.g., StencilJS.
• Proven experience with large‑scale applications, SDK and front‑end component architecture, modularisation, efficient bundling and unit testing.
• Expertise delivering high‑performance web solutions at international scale, including SSR, CDN and caching strategies.
• Ability to define and document front‑end architecture and its integration with back‑end services.
• Passion for coaching, mentoring and conducting technical interviews.
• Clear and confident communication with engineering teams, architects and senior leadership.
