Chef Tournant – Resort Kitchen

About the role

The Westin Dragonara Resort is seeking a motivated Chef Tournant to support its high‑volume kitchen operations. This full‑time position rotates across sections, ensuring consistent food quality and smooth service during busy meal periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes to the required standards and recipes in the assigned section.
• Assign work to commis staff, order supplies from the store room, and expedite meals during service.
• Maintain cleanliness of all behind‑the‑line areas, including refrigerators, freezers, shelves, worktables and sinks.
• Prepare and replenish mise en place for the current shift and the following day.
• Communicate regularly with the Restaurant Manager to uphold food quality.
• Rotate and store food stock properly to minimise spoilage.
• Complete requisition forms and assist with inventory control.
• Interact courteously with guests and hotel staff.
• Execute detailed garnishing and plating for presentation.
• Support training of new kitchen staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a fast‑paced hotel or resort kitchen environment.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and teamwork attitude.
• Commitment to food safety, hygiene and proper storage practices.
• Willingness to support staff development and training.
