BI/Reporting Specialist

About the role

PwC’s Data & Transformation team is seeking a BI/Reporting Specialist to turn enterprise data into actionable dashboards and self‑service analytics for stakeholders across the firm. You will collaborate with data stewards, engineers and business experts to deliver trusted reporting solutions that support decision‑making in Marketing, HR, Finance and client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with data stewards, data engineers and business experts to deliver trusted reporting across multiple domains.
• Design and deliver production BI solutions and semantic models in Power BI (Direct Lake, Import, DirectQuery) using DAX and Power Query, with role‑level security and workspace governance.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into clear KPIs, well‑modelled semantic layers and dashboards aligned to a shared business glossary.
• Build and optimise analytics products on Microsoft Fabric, Azure and Databricks, including lakehouse architectures and CI/CD pipelines via Git and Azure DevOps.
• Embed data governance, quality and GDPR‑aware design (lineage, certified datasets, Purview classification) into every reporting product.
• Mentor junior analysts, raise dashboard quality, performance and reliability, and promote analytics literacy across PwC Malta.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics or a related quantitative discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience designing and delivering production BI solutions and semantic models across finance, marketing, HR or risk domains.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and translate business needs into analytical deliverables.
