Reconciliation Analyst

About the role

BVNK, the stablecoin-powered financial stack for enterprises and part of Mastercard, is hiring a Reconciliation Analyst in Malta. The role ensures the integrity of financial records across fiat and digital assets, with a focus on automation and AI-driven efficiency. You will investigate discrepancies, work with Product and Engineering teams and help optimise workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex reconciliations across bank accounts, customer accounts and intercompany transactions for fiat and digital assets
• Use automation tools and AI-powered solutions to turn manual processes into efficient, tech-led workflows
• Import and manage internal and external data sets, record daily cash balances and monitor fund movements
• Create and maintain daily reconciliation templates for all group entities and ensure system and client data accuracy, including NAV reporting
• Ensure reconciliations align with financial records to support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
• Act as a key contact for internal and external audits, providing documentation, methodology explanations and root-cause investigations
• Oversee new product journeys and lead the implementation of standardised reconciliation processes
• Work with Treasury and Payment Operations, and with Engineering to embed AI and automation into the reconciliation stack
• Support the Reconciliations Manager with ad-hoc requests and strategic projects

Required profile

• Degree in Financial Management, Business Management or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in reconciliations or financial services; fintech experience is a significant plus
• Strong interest in AI and automation, with proven examples of using technology to improve processes
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy under pressure
• Ability to explain complex financial findings to senior leadership
