IT System Engineer

About the role

The role involves deploying, configuring and maintaining software packages for high‑profile IT systems, including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). You will provide technical leadership to ensure optimal operation, security and compliance across the solution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the software deployment lifecycle for high‑profile IT systems, including planning, implementation, maintenance and retirement of software packages.
• Provide technical leadership for system design, integration and architecture, ensuring quality, security, scalability and compliance.
• Manage change processes with thorough testing, documentation, approval and rollback procedures.
• Oversee testing and quality assurance throughout project lifecycles.
• Lead support and maintenance of Windows Server environments, PKI infrastructure, backup, networking and other critical systems.
• Drive incident and problem management activities, perform root‑cause analysis and implement preventive measures following ITIL practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams and third‑party vendors for system integrations, Level 3 escalations and business‑critical operations.
• Support PKI operations and Trusted Roles, ensuring compliance with ICAO, eIDAS and related security standards.
• Conduct technical meetings, communicate with stakeholders and maintain accurate technical documentation, knowledge bases and training materials.
