Odoo Developer & Business Systems Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, commercially‑minded Odoo Developer & Business Systems Specialist to own the customisation, development and continuous improvement of our Odoo environment. This role goes beyond coding: you will understand how our businesses operate, map workflows, identify automation opportunities and translate requirements into practical Odoo solutions, working closely with management and operational teams to create an integrated platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, customise and maintain Odoo modules using Python and the Odoo framework.
• Configure workflows, automated actions, approvals, permissions and business rules.
• Customise models, views, reports, dashboards and forms.
• Develop and maintain internal and third‑party integrations.
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimise existing functionality.
• Manage upgrades and ensure custom developments remain compatible with newer Odoo versions.
• Map current processes, identify inefficiencies and design end‑to‑end workflows.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience developing and customising Odoo.
• Proficient in Python and familiar with Odoo architecture.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and relational databases.
• Knowledge of Odoo Studio, automated actions, server actions and workflow design.
• Experience integrating APIs and third‑party systems.
• Understanding of security groups, access rights and user permissions.
• Ability to translate complex business processes into technical solutions and communicate with non‑technical stakeholders.
