Head of Acquisition – iGaming

About the role

The company, a publicly listed betting operator, is seeking a Head of Acquisition to shape and execute the customer acquisition strategy for its sportsbook and horse‑racing brands. Reporting to senior leadership, you will own paid acquisition, affiliate marketing and digital growth initiatives while ensuring commercial efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a comprehensive acquisition strategy across sportsbook and horse‑racing products.
• Own performance metrics such as CPA, ROI, LTV and overall marketing efficiency.
• Lead a small team of an Affiliate Manager and an SEM Manager.
• Manage affiliate partnerships and paid‑search activities.
• Identify new acquisition channels and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product, CRM, Brand and Commercial teams to improve conversion, customer journeys and retention.
• Analyse campaign performance and optimise budgets based on data‑driven insights.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading acquisition or performance marketing within an online sportsbook operator.
• Strong understanding of affiliate marketing, paid search and digital acquisition channels.
• Commercial mindset with experience managing marketing budgets and acquisition KPIs.
• Previous people‑management or leadership experience.
• Excellent analytical skills with a data‑led decision‑making approach.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.
• Experience in horse‑racing betting is desirable, though strong sportsbook acquisition experience is also considered.
