Demand and Supply Planning Manager

About the role

The Demand and Supply Planning Manager will lead the Planning Department to develop and maintain a rolling production plan that meets customer demand while optimizing resource utilization. This role works closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure efficient operations, timely deliveries, and successful product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee, direct and coordinate all planning activities within the Planning Department, ensuring an achievable rolling production plan and optimal plan utilization.
• Coordinate demand based on the production plan across cross‑functional teams to maximize efficiency and meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, MS&T and Customer Service to align schedules, raw‑material planning, new‑product launches and on‑time delivery.
• Provide short‑ and long‑term demand forecasts and analysis for existing and new product introductions.
• Own key performance metrics such as OTD, OTIF, inventory levels, forecast accuracy and stock management.
• Lead, support and develop the planning team through clear accountabilities and talent‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Proficiency with planning and ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong material‑related analytical abilities, including forecast setup, data analysis, fit‑gap analysis and report presentation.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Agile mindset with the ability to adapt to changing requirements and implement actions to meet business demands.
