Boarding Agent – Ship Agency Services

About the role

The Boarding Agent will deliver efficient ship agency services, coordinating vessel operations, shipping documentation and client requirements while ensuring compliance with company and Health & Safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality ship agency services to clients.
• Coordinate vessel arrivals and manage pre‑arrival documentation with ports, terminals and relevant authorities.
• Board vessels as required to support port‑call operations.
• Prepare and issue booking confirmations, loading lists and other required shipping documents.
• Create and process Bills of Lading, issuing drafts to clients for review.
• Prepare and issue accurate invoices for completed shipments.
• Ensure all activities comply with company Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in ship agency or the wider maritime industry (preferred).
• Good understanding of crew change processes and related requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced operational environment.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Valid driving licence.
