Accountant – AP & Cash Management (Malta)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our finance team at our Malta office. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end Accounts Payable processing, cash and liquidity management, and supporting month‑end close activities in an international, multi‑jurisdictional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process and oversee the full cycle of Accounts Payable across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and maintain strong relationships.
• Implement and enforce AP policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage daily posting of AP transactions and adapt to differing jurisdictional requirements.
• Handle the finance department’s shared inboxes, responding to internal and external queries, invoice submissions, and payment approvals.
• Oversee settlement of funds from PSP to operational bank accounts and maintain required balances on Player Fund accounts.
• Execute FX transfers cost‑effectively and coordinate intragroup liquidity planning and settlement of receivables/liabilities.
• Prepare weekly liquidity meeting reports and payment lists.
• Maintain accurate financial records, prepare journal entries, and perform balance‑sheet and income‑statement checks for month‑end close.
• Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation.
• Perform daily and weekly bank reconciliations and manage intercompany transactions and balances.

• Proven experience as an Accounts Officer or similar role, preferably in a multi‑jurisdictional setting.
• Experience in the i‑gaming industry is an advantage.
