Banking Risk & Regulatory Advisory Consultant (Senior)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join its Banking Risk and Regulatory Advisory team. The role involves delivering advisory services on banking financial, prudential and conduct regulation, corporate governance, and risk management for financial services clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist banking and financial services clients in benchmarking readiness for new regulations, performing gap assessments and providing remediation recommendations.
• Develop and execute stress‑testing exercises to evaluate the impact of internal and external shocks on capital and liquidity reserves.
• Conduct quantitative assessments of capital, liquidity and risk metrics against regulatory thresholds and industry benchmarks, offering optimisation advice.
• Support clients in preparing and reviewing regulatory reporting, implementing reporting controls and automation in collaboration with data teams.
• Document work, findings and recommendations in a structured manner and communicate results to senior management.
• Advise on control design issues, draft policies and procedures, and recommend enhancements to internal controls and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a creative mindset.
• Experience or academic background in banking, finance, risk management or related regulatory fields.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in an international environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for senior‑level client interaction.
