Accounts Clerk

About the role

A growing and fast‑paced food retail group is looking for an organised and motivated Accounts Clerk to support its finance function. This is a hands‑on role offering the opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of daily accounting operations within a dynamic business.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily bank and cash reconciliations.
• Issue and post invoices.
• Follow up on outstanding debtors.
• Process creditor payments.
• Carry out account reconciliations.
• Assist with month‑end processes.
• Support audit‑related tasks.
• Undertake other accounting or administrative duties as required.

Required profile

• A‑Level standard or Advanced Diploma in Accounts.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in an accounting or clerical role.
• Highly organised, accurate and attentive to detail.
• Proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English.

Required skills

• Excel (strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel).
• Microsoft Office.
