VAT Associate – Tax Team

About the role

PwC is looking for a VAT Associate to join its Tax team in Qormi, Malta. You will work alongside experienced professionals who solve important client challenges, and the role offers opportunities to learn, grow and contribute to VAT expertise across a wide range of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients in meeting their VAT compliance obligations across a varied portfolio
• Complete and submit periodic VAT returns and declarations, and calculate VAT payments
• Provide VAT advice to clients ranging from large multinationals to medium and smaller enterprises in sectors such as gaming, financial services, retail and manufacturing
• Contribute to thought leadership articles and help deliver internal and external VAT training sessions
• Work within a specialised team and gain exposure to many VAT matters and industries

Required profile

• ACCA qualified or a recent accounting graduate; applicants with other degrees or diplomas showing a genuine interest in VAT will also be considered
• Some knowledge of the Maltese or EU VAT legislative framework
• Eager to gain exposure across disciplines and industries
• Fluent in English with strong interpersonal skills
• Able to prioritise and manage competing tasks
