Fintech Consultant – Banking Advisory

About the role

PwC Malta is looking for a Fintech Consultant to join its Banking Advisory team. You will work at the intersection of regulation and innovation, supporting fintechs, payment institutions, e-money institutions and crypto-asset service providers in launching, scaling and thriving in Malta's fintech ecosystem. The position is at Associate level within the Banking and Fintech Advisory line of service.

Key responsibilities

• Guide clients through an efficient licensing journey for fintech players, including payment institutions, e-money institutions and crypto-asset service providers.
• Track regulatory developments and turn complex updates into clear, client-ready insights.
• Support clients through regulatory change and remediation, including drafting and refining policies, procedures and control frameworks.
• Contribute to winning proposals and high-impact client deliverables.
• Shape the conversation through thought leadership, client training and industry events.

Required profile

• Hands-on client-facing experience with a client-first mindset.
• Experience collaborating in teams, both inside and outside the workplace.
• Curiosity and adaptability, with a passion for crypto and digital assets.
• Solid understanding of financial services governance and/or the regulatory landscape.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Compliance and governance knowledge, including anti-bribery and anti-money laundering compliance.
• Ability to interpret data and manage cybersecurity risk.
