Tax Associate

About the role

PwC Malta is looking for a Tax Associate to join its Tax team, which helps businesses navigate tax in Malta and overseas. The role suits someone starting an accounting career or studying for an accounting qualification, offering exposure to both compliance and advisory work.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients with tax compliance and advisory work, including income tax, VAT, stamp duty, capital gains, import duty and social security contributions.
• Use digital tools to streamline processes and deliver value.
• Work alongside professionals from different backgrounds to solve client challenges.
• Contribute to projects involving clients in Malta and, at times, overseas.
• Learn through formal training and hands-on experience.

Required profile

• Currently studying for an accounting qualification such as ACCA, or has successfully completed it.
• Genuine interest in Maltese tax law and enjoyment of keeping up with developments.
• Fluent in both English and Maltese.
• Open-minded, eager to learn and ready for new challenges.
• Wants to build a career in Malta with the option of international exposure.
