Technical Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Lead to own the early‑stage development of a new gaming platform. You will stay hands‑on with production code, shape the architecture, and set technical standards while collaborating closely with our development partner.

Key responsibilities

• Write, review and ship production code, remaining hands‑on throughout the development lifecycle.
• Partner with the external development team to design solutions, ensure high engineering quality, and maintain the platform.
• Take end‑to‑end technical ownership, from development and testing through deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Build reliable, scalable services that meet regulatory requirements, including those of the Swedish Gambling Authority.
• Grow the in‑house engineering team by hiring, mentoring, and establishing strong technical standards.

Required profile

• Experienced backend engineer who enjoys writing and reviewing production code.
• Strong background in Kotlin or Java with a genuine interest in Kotlin.
• Comfortable building and operating services on AWS and using relational databases such as MySQL.
• Experience delivering platforms in high‑transaction or regulated environments.
• Proven ability to make pragmatic technical decisions and work closely with external partners.
