Workplace IT Specialist

About the role

The Workplace IT Specialist will be the primary owner of IT and workplace facilities for OKX’s Malta office and provide first‑line support to employees across the EEA region. You will ensure a reliable, secure and high‑quality technology experience while collaborating with the global IT team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver responsive technical support for hardware, software, operating systems, business applications and workplace technology for Malta and EEA users.
• Manage the full endpoint lifecycle – provisioning, deployment, maintenance, inventory and secure retirement – following global standards.
• Partner with HR to handle onboarding and off‑boarding, including device preparation, account provisioning and security briefings.
• Maintain and troubleshoot office infrastructure such as AV systems, video conferencing, VOIP, printers, CCTV and access control.
• Support global IT initiatives, office moves, technology refreshes and security projects affecting the local office.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in IT/Desktop Support or similar enterprise environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, OS and networking basics.
• Fluent, professional English with excellent customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work independently as the sole on‑site IT presence in Malta.

Required skills

• Enterprise macOS support.
• Google Workspace and Lark Suite administration.
• Understanding of SSO, endpoint security, password management and drive encryption.
• Networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
• Scripting/automation with Bash, PowerShell or Python.
• Familiarity with Jamf, Apple Device Support, ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+ (optional).
