Senior Web Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Web Developer to lead the development, optimisation and maintenance of our portfolio of websites and web applications. You will work closely with the Tech Lead and Web Development Manager, influencing technical decisions and ensuring high performance, scalability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimise web sites and applications, focusing on performance, SEO and Core Web Vitals.
• Build reusable components, themes and plugins following best practices for security, accessibility and maintainability.
• Write clean, efficient, well‑documented code in JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance and collaborate via GitHub with CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with DevOps teams on hosting, CDNs, caching and cloud platforms such as Cloudflare and AWS.
• Integrate third‑party platforms and tools, and use AI agents (Claude, Codex) to accelerate development.

Required profile

• 4+ years of frontend or full‑stack development experience.
• Proven track record delivering production‑grade websites or web applications, including custom themes, plugins or components.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Required skills

• JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, MySQL.
• Experience with React, Next.js or NestJS (preferred).
• WordPress theme and plugin development (nice to have).
• Git, GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Cloudflare, AWS and CDN/caching strategies.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development workflows.
