Senior Software Engineer (Python, GenAI)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver AI‑powered document solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will join a fast‑growing team that recently became part of Acuity Analytics, working on cutting‑edge generative AI services for regulated, high‑growth organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable Python backend services.
• Build document‑centric AI features such as search, Q&A, summarisation and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Integrate Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search and Azure Cognitive Services into production‑grade APIs.
• Work with Azure Service Bus, Blob Storage and other Azure platform components.
• Implement secure AI solutions, including prompt protection and managed identities.
• Collaborate via GitHub pull requests, code reviews and CI workflows.
• Refactor existing codebases to improve modularity and decouple services.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience developing Python backend applications.
• Hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Azure services, especially Azure OpenAI and AI Search.
• Proven track record building AI or document‑processing solutions.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, secure APIs and large codebases.
