Senior Full Stack Engineer

About the role

CARMA is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join its Malta office. The role focuses on driving the development, scalability, reliability, and modernization of CARMA’s media intelligence platforms, working across backend, frontend, infrastructure, and AI‑assisted workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs and distributed applications.
• Contribute to frontend features and integrations as needed.
• Participate in architecture discussions, system design and technical decision‑making.
• Debug and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks and system failures.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce quality, security and maintainability standards.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on deployments, server management and cloud/on‑premise environments.
• Manage Git workflows, branching strategies, pull requests and release processes.
• Utilize AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level developers and maintain technical documentation.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to debug complex production issues.
• Experience leading technical decisions and guiding best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with product owners, designers, architects and other engineers.
• Proven track record of delivering reliable, scalable software solutions.
