Senior Finance Executive – Pre‑Opening Finance Lead

About the role

Join Meliá’s pre‑opening team as a Senior Finance Executive, overseeing the financial backbone of the INNSiDE Bugibba hotel. You will ensure accurate daily finance controls, support budgeting processes, and act as the primary finance contact when the Head of Finance is unavailable.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily finance controls, reconciliations and compliance with company procedures.
• Monitor bank balances, cash positions and credit‑card settlements; prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations.
• Manage month‑end entries including accruals, pre‑payments, deferred income and other adjustments.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet, payroll, supplier and suspense accounts.
• Review payroll journals, process payroll entries and support statutory submissions (VAT, ECO tax, FS5).
• Assist with management reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and SAP forecast uploads.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in a similar finance role.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or ACCA qualification (or progressing).
• Good knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with a positive professional attitude.
