Senior Analyst - Financial & Strategic Forecasting

About the role

The Senior Analyst will support the Financial & Capital Strategy department by handling capital instrument issuance, debt funding, shareholder return monitoring, and coordination with investment banks and institutional investors. The role bridges Finance with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient capital operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end execution of capital issuances and debt funding, preparing data, documentation and securing internal approvals.
• Maintain comprehensive records of capital and funding instruments such as CET1, AT1, Tier 2, MREL‑eligible instruments, eligible deposits and commercial paper.
• Assist in optimizing the bank’s capital structure, analysing capital mix to improve efficiency and reduce cost of capital.
• Assess and report on shareholder distribution mechanisms including bonus issues, DRIPs and scrip dividends.
• Develop and maintain financial and capital forecasting frameworks, projecting capital ratios, RWAs, funding needs and KPIs under base and stress scenarios.
• Contribute to budgeting and medium‑term financial planning, aligning capital strategy with balance‑sheet growth and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare analytical outputs for senior management decisions on capital allocation, dividend policy and strategic initiatives.
• Support scenario analysis, sensitivity testing and reporting on capital adequacy and regulatory buffers.
• Design, execute and monitor share buy‑back programmes, creating reporting tools and performance analytics.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including Finance and People & Culture, on treasury share planning and distribution.
