Section Leader - Sports (Arkadia Gozo)

About the role

Hudson Arkadia Gozo is looking for a Section Leader for its sports department, reporting to the Retail Operations Manager and working in-store on Gozo. The role takes full ownership of the department, leads by example on the shop floor and supports the team in delivering high-quality service. The store carries brands such as Armani Exchange, Calvin Klein, EA7, Kiabi, Mango, Tommy Hilfiger, Tommy Jeans, Nike, Urban Jungle and Urban Bratz.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, tailored customer experience and meet sales targets, motivating the section to exceed them
• Manage stock levels, replenishment and product displays; oversee deliveries and stock flow
• Spot-check inventory and flag discrepancies
• Support payments, returns and transactions accurately, and stamp or attach price tags and checks against the price list
• Offer expert product advice and train staff on product knowledge, presentation and merchandising
• Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, keep displays fresh and on-brand, and ensure the section is clean and organised
• Stand in as assistant manager when the Store Manager is absent, support opening and closing duties, and coach new team members

Required profile

• Retail experience, ideally 1-2 years or more
• Friendly, confident and approachable personality
• Strong leadership potential and a hands-on approach
• Able to prioritise, stay organised and take ownership
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Genuine passion for fashion and people
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and shifts as needed
