Quality Management System Manager

About the role

STMicroelectronics Malta is looking for a skilled Quality Management System Manager to lead the deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement of quality standards across the global ST network. The role works closely with manufacturing sites and corporate functions to ensure compliance with QMS processes, SOPs and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, drive and continuously improve quality standards within QMS processes and initiatives.
• Review organizational methodologies, lead process redesign and update process descriptions.
• Ensure compliance with QMS standards, ST SOPs and customer requirements.
• Support top management by enabling SMART metric deployment and quality policy rollout.
• Act as audit program manager: develop audit strategy, monitor the audit program and share learnings across the manufacturing network.
• Conduct internal audits for central functions and other areas as required.
• Lead process reviews, assess quality agreements and assembly requirements, and define mitigation actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in Quality Management Systems within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven experience leading internal, customer and risk‑based audits.
• Strong knowledge of international quality standards and customer requirements.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of QMS processes and standards (e.g., IATF 16949).
• Extensive experience with internal auditing, customer auditing and risk‑based process auditing.
• Strong analytical and process‑improvement capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
