Python Developer – Agentic AI (Remote, Malta)

About the role

We are looking for a Python Developer to build agentic AI products end‑to‑end for a VC‑backed, technology‑led roll‑up of services. The role sits inside the integration engine of the group, designing agent architectures, wiring tool layers and owning the infrastructure that runs them. You will work remotely from Malta with a small senior team, moving quickly from idea to production.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement agentic AI architectures in Python.
• Develop and maintain the backend services that power the agents.
• Build and manage the cloud infrastructure on AWS using Docker and Terraform.
• Collaborate with the frontend team (React) to integrate AI capabilities.
• Ensure high‑performance, scalability and reliability of the platform.
• Participate in fast‑paced M&A integration projects and contribute to technical decisions.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of software engineering experience, preferably mid‑senior level.
• Hands‑on experience building agentic or AI‑driven products at a high‑growth scale‑up.
• Ability to thrive in fast‑moving environments with incomplete information.
• Experience in FinTech is a strong plus.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ownership of end‑to‑end delivery.
