Project Manager, R&D

About the role

Baxter is looking for a Project Manager, R&D in Marsa. Project Managers provide business and technical leadership for major, high-complexity programs (such as Baxter Top Projects) within the GBU, leading project teams through identification, justification, prioritization, initiation, development and implementation. They lead financial analysis including market research, cash flow, capital and program positioning, and work with marketing, legal and purchasing to develop and negotiate contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Accountable for core team performance, project schedule and execution, budget commitments and spend
• Lead the team in defining program strategy and goals, and ensure project scope is defined and controlled
• Maintain effective communication across functions and management levels
• Identify and communicate project risks, develop a risk plan and manage risk responses proactively
• Anticipate and resolve conflicts to achieve win-win outcomes
• Lead the core team to identify and implement continuous improvement
• Make launch-date commitments to business and manage stakeholder expectations on deliverables
• Act as a champion of product lifecycle management processes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in a science or engineering-related field
• 10 years of previous product lifecycle experience, including 5 years of project management experience
• Demonstrated success leading multi-site, global or enterprise-wide programs in the medical products industry
• PMI and IPMA or equivalent certification desired

• Competency in all aspects of project management
• Ability to develop others

What we offer

• Minimum salary of EUR 44,800 per year, excluding allowances, overtime and bonuses; starting pay may be higher depending on skills and experience
