PHP Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for a PHP Backend Developer to join our development team. The successful candidate will work on building and maintaining server‑side applications, ensuring performance, scalability and security. This role is suitable for a junior professional with a solid foundation in PHP and related technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend code using PHP 7/8.1, Node.js and related frameworks.
• Write clean, testable code and resolve defects in existing systems.
• Create and execute unit and integration tests for applications.
• Analyse business requirements, design action plans and implement enhancements.
• Manage defect tracking, provide updates and support daily system operations.
• Research and adopt new technologies as needed.
• Produce technical specifications and test plans.

Required profile

• Degree or certification in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or equivalent.
• Junior‑level programming experience with PHP and Node.js in an n‑tier architecture.
• Understanding of object‑oriented development and Agile SDLC.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude, customer‑service focus and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
