Legal Counsel – Europe

About the role

The Legal Counsel will join Crypto.com’s global legal team, focusing on regulatory matters across Europe. You will support the development and launch of crypto‑related products and services, ensuring compliance while enabling commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide proactive, solution‑oriented legal and regulatory advice to internal stakeholders for new crypto products and services.
• Work cross‑functionally to identify, analyse, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks while maximising commercial opportunities.
• Participate in the development of the regulatory advisory function and represent Crypto.com before regulators, financial partners, users and other external audiences.
• Review, update and draft user agreements and other external‑facing terms, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance and Privacy teams to assess applicable regulations and set company standards.
• Advise on external‑facing marketing, user content and user experience compliance.
• Select and manage external counsels where appropriate.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years post‑qualification experience in‑house or at a reputable law firm, with at least 2 years focused on banking law, payments law, FinTech or international financial services.
• Ability to provide legal guidance on product design, modification and geographic expansion.
• Strong interpersonal, organisational and business‑judgement skills, with experience advising senior management.
• Capacity to handle multiple assignments, resolve conflicting priorities and use innovative solutions.
• Interest in cryptocurrencies; prior experience with crypto companies is a plus.
• Experience in payments, investment industry or consumer‑facing financial services is highly advantageous.
