IT Assistant

About the role

Under the supervision of the IT Senior System Manager, the IT Systems Assistant ensures a smooth running of all onboard IT systems, networks and peripherals. The role involves maintenance, repairs and handling data communications for cruise ships.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with onboard and ashore departments to ensure smooth operation of all systems and networks.
• Perform maintenance of all IT systems.
• Maintain and repair onboard IT hardware.
• Manage data reception/transmission, receive new cruise data, execute electronic surveys and set up LAN.
• Provide 24/7 on‑call support.

Required profile

• Fluent English (oral and written); additional European language is a plus.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience with Active Directory, UNIX, MS Office 365, Windows 10/11 and Windows Server.
• Background in troubleshooting, basic hardware and printer repairs.
• Basic network management skills and knowledge of Fidelio Cruise or Micros systems.
• Medical certification required before starting work onboard.
