Information Technology Administrator

About the role

A fast‑growing food retail group is looking for a hands‑on IT Administrator to keep its technology infrastructure secure and reliable across multiple sites. You will own the day‑to‑day operation of Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 services while supporting ongoing projects.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, domain infrastructure and Microsoft 365 suite (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive), including licensing, permissions and security settings.
• Manage multi‑site network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls and VPNs, and support point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and related peripherals.
• Maintain backups, UPS systems and business continuity procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, support infrastructure upgrades and system roll‑outs.
• Liaise with external IT vendors and keep technical documentation up to date.
• Learn to administer the company’s custom in‑house software with full training provided.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Solid experience administering Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems proactively and pay close attention to detail.
• Valid driving licence; retail or multi‑site experience is a plus.
