About the role

Join a leading technology services firm as a Google Cloud Platform Architect, supporting an AI‑driven mainframe modernization practice. You will help transform legacy COBOL systems into modern Java, Go, or .NET solutions on GCP while collaborating with global engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and lead application modernization initiatives, re‑architecting legacy and mainframe‑class systems for GCP.
• Design data architecture solutions on GCP, including BigQuery and analytics pipelines.
• Communicate with client stakeholders to convey the business criticality of legacy systems.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams within a fully GCP‑based environment.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture with Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven experience modernizing legacy or mainframe‑class applications into Java, Go, or .NET on cloud platforms.
• Strong background in data architecture on GCP, especially BigQuery and pipeline design.
• Consulting or professional services experience with client‑facing delivery.
• Experience with AI engineering practices, spec‑driven design, and test‑driven development.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
