Global Pharmacovigilance Data Analyst

About the role

Baxter's Global Pharmacovigilance Data Management team is looking for a data analyst to join colleagues across Europe, Asia-Pacific and the United States. The role combines data analytics, technology and pharmacovigilance, and involves generating reports, building SQL queries and supporting automation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Generate accurate periodic and ad-hoc reports from the pharmacovigilance database.
• Develop, validate and standardize SQL and PL/SQL queries.
• Support the development of automation solutions using technologies such as VBA and AI.
• Translate business needs into reliable reporting solutions.
• Investigate data-quality issues, identify root causes and coordinate their resolution.
• Partner with other PV technology teams, Safety Writing, Regulatory, IT and other global functions.
• Support improvements to reporting tools (Cognos-based), processes and systems.

Required profile

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, Life Sciences or a related field.
• Experience with pharmacovigilance database reporting, SQL and data analysis.
• Ability to interpret complex data and explain findings clearly.
• Strong collaboration, organization and attention to data quality.

Required skills

• SQL and data analysis
• Cognos reporting tools (valuable but not essential)
• VBA or other reporting automation technologies (valuable but not essential)
• Basic knowledge of Japanese is a nice-to-have
